Curiosity. Confidence. Connection.

From carefully prepared classrooms to woodland exploration, we help every child grow through hands-on discovery.

MONTESSORI

Montessori learning is practical, purposeful and hands-on. Children explore beautifully designed materials that encourage concentration, independence and mastery at their own pace.

Practical Life

Pouring, polishing, preparing food; building coordination and independence.

Language & Literacy

Sandpaper letters, early writing, storytelling and phonetic awareness.

Mathematical Understanding

Concrete materials such as bead stairs and number rods that make abstract concepts tangible.

The FIVE Principles

Respect For The Child

Children are treated as capable, independent learners. We honour their concentration, support self-directed choices, and model calm, respectful relationships every day.

The Absorbent Mind

Children learn naturally from the world around them. Through their senses, they absorb, explore and make sense of their experiences; building understanding simply by living and doing.

Sensitive Periods

Children pass through natural windows of opportunity when they are especially ready to master certain skills. By carefully observing each child, we recognise these moments and provide the right materials at exactly the right time.

The Prepared Environment

Children thrive in spaces designed for independence. Our classrooms are carefully prepared, orderly and inviting; allowing children the freedom to choose, explore and learn at their own pace.

Auto Education

Children are capable of directing their own learning. With thoughtful guidance and a carefully prepared environment, they develop confidence, independence and a genuine love of discovery.

“The beauty of a Montessori classroom is that each child develops at their own individual pace.”

THE ROLE OF THE TEACHER

Montessori teachers are guides rather than lecturers. Through careful observation, they introduce materials at the right moment, model respect and gently redirect behaviour toward meaningful activity.

Observe

We carefully watch each child to understand their interests, readiness and unique way of learning.

Guide

We introduce materials and gentle direction at the right moment, supporting progress without interrupting independence.

Empower

We nurture confidence and self-belief so children feel capable, curious and proud of what they achieve.

Forest School

Our Forest School sessions take learning beyond the classroom. Children explore nature, build practical skills and develop confidence through hands-on outdoor experiences in a safe and supportive environment.

What Children Experience at Forest School

Nature Exploration

We are fortunate to be located in the middle of a park with a large enclosed outdoor garden for children to freely explore and play. We also have a nature trail at our doorstep where the children practice forest school activities allowing them to develop their confidence outdoors.

Confidence Through Challenge

Outdoor play encourages resilience, problem solving and the confidence to try new things.

Seasonal Discovery

Children experience nature through the changing seasons; observing wildlife, weather and the rhythms of the natural world.
